Iranian deputy economy minister, Behrouz Alishiri has said two foreign banks have applied to open branches in Iran, Fars news has reported. Two Asian and European banks have applied to open their branches in the country and their application with be studied by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), he said, without giving further details.
